That's good news Justin, congrats on being busy! No rush from me, but looking forward to seeing what you come up with next year.

Hello everyone still listening.
I've finally had some success with a batch of prototypes back from laser cutting.
Esquire, AVRI JM, LR jazz blaster
5-hole Tele, TM JM, AVRI jag all looking good.

Now to countersink the holes and head off to the anodiser for a quote.

Thanks for your patience!

Ooooohh! Nice. You absolutely have my interest. I'd love a black anodized AVRI JM guard. I'll keep an eye on this thread for more news!

VERY interesting...

Is the jaguar guard in the bottom right multiple pieces or is the line between what's normally chrome and plastic just etched?

I would think American spec guards would definitely be the choice.... If the price was right I'd take a black anodized guard for a Jazzmaster and a Jaguar

No these are separate pieces. Jags are impossible to fit up with a 1 piece guard, and also this leaves an opportunity for multi coloured anodised parts (black and gold anyone?)

Ok I'm finally moving forward with a this project. After a lot of back and forth I've found a suitable company to anodise these pickguards which I am having laser cut. To kick things off I'm offering up these prototype guards cheap, but I will be producing these to order in batches.
Prototypes available:
TMJM w/ control plate
LRJM
AVRI Jag w/ plates

Other styles I have develeoped drawings for:
AVRI JM
9 hole JM
P90/HB JM
5 hole Tele
Esquire
Most conceivable Jag options.
Custom is doable too.

Shit, sorry mate, I was supposed to send you a pickguard/tracing of a guard from an AVRI Jaguar, wasn't I? :fp:

Glad to see this is on track now, great work!

Not sure if it's been said before but a dark reddish brown anodized guard would look sweet.
Similar to this Fender Rustic Strat:

I would definitely be interested in a Jazzmaster guard if you could pull it off.
Yes, this. Any idea on final price?
