1meg pot recommendations? And treble bleed recommodations for Jags?
I'm trying to upgrade the electronics in the lead curcuit of my Jag, I'm pretty settled on keeping 1M pots but which pots do people find best for vol and tone?
Log or liner?
Any certain brands or special tapers? I heard someone mention "reverse taper" once?!
And does any one have a solution for retaining treble at low volumes? Apparently the usual capacitor treble bleed doesn't work well when the strangle switch is up on a Jag.
I'm sorry if this is broad, I tried to do a forum search for "1M pot" but it just returned absolutely everything "pot" in. Some interesting (but not relevant) results.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

It’s a pity no one replied to this as I would really like to know myself
Have you found the information elsewhere, OP?

Reverse taper ("C") is an audio taper pot that's backwards (where "10" would be on an Audio/"A" pot is "1" and vice versa). Going with linear ("B") or audio/logarithmic ("A") pots is completely personal preference. I personally like the sound of linear volume pots and audio/logarithmic tone pots.
Not sure exactly how to keep the treble in your specific setup.

What sort of Jaguar is it and what's the purpose of the 'upgrade'?
If it's an AVRI/AV65 you already have about the best available.
Reverse taper - do you wish to use the controls in reverse to the normal mode of function? There is no real description of what you're trying to achieve here.

And now I see it's a 4+ year old necro thread and the OP hasn't been back for 3 years.
Awesome.

Oops. I didn't notice that myself.

So what if it’s old! I’d like an answer to the treble bleed question.

Surely a treble bleed mod doesn't work well with a strangle switch because they're both doing the same thing?
