Really cool seeing inside the WRHB - the shape of those bobbins looks really cool under x-ray.
Sounds like you need CT-guided epoxy injections...does your radiologist friend feel very generous with their time???

nah, i'll just keep on filling the dangerous hollow parts on the edges and such. hollow means lighter, and that's ok with me!
no DVD in the mail yet. tomorrow i guess... stay tuned!

I'm not sure if this would even work, but have you considered taking all of the parts off the body and neck and look for any holes where you can gain access to woodworm'd cavities and maybe just blast really watered down wood filler with a syringe and wait to dry and just keep this until there isn't much else you can do? Maybe you could even put metal shims, say like a spare neck plate, for the neck pocket, and boring out any screw holes and putting metal screw inserts in place just for reinforcement? I mean, if you're worried about, say, the neck not being able to handle string tension at the neck pocket.

Re: woodworm damaged Tele restoration NOW W/ X-RAYS!
thnx, might do it... or not.
got the DVD today and it took me some time to figure out how it all worked.
it even has some player where i can play it like a movie. it's not very clear to show what damage is where, but more or less i get the idea.
as the wood filler has the same color of the finish i'll just pierce a hole into the paint to insert the syringe to squirt it in. only the dramatic places.
i don't get a clear shot of the neck pocket zone, though, as the metal causes the x-rays to distort of some sorts.
will film the video and post it on youtube, soon i promise!
stay tuned!

all the bugs inside of my guitar were dead, thank God! so i only tried filling most of the empty spaces - and i think i never finished. but the guitar weighs next to nothing and sounds great, so wth.
so... what exactly can i do for you? mind to explain your situation a bit more?
Pat.

Re: woodworm damaged Tele restoration NOW W/ X-RAYS!
When I scanned down the New Posts list, I read the title of this thread as "Wormworn damaged Teles Now!" My immediate thought was, oh great, we've gone from Roadworn to Wormworn. Like guitar marketing decadence had taken a bold step into the future. Roadworn was so early 2010s, but now we're on to a more refined aesthetic of filth, one in which Fender assembly line specialists will, for a modest upcharge, festoon one's brand new instrument with faux blemishes and sundry novel finish ulcerations. New for 2018—the Wormworn™ Tele.

I bought one from that guy a couple weeks ago. I feel like I stole it. Mine is an Amercan Standard, had a split + some worm damage. Nothing to worry about. I filled the worm-tunnels with 5 min epoxy, sanded them flat, and finished it with tru oil.
I'll post photos later today.
I don't know if it turned up in this thread (too many pages..) but there are lots of wood restoration options for severe damage (like pat's, not the body you bought) that involve soaking porous wood with a thin epoxy.
I think he's out of am std bodies, or I would buy them all...
here are a couple pics, most of the worm damage is on the back, but these are the only two photos i have on this computer...

i didn't really "fix" anything, just accepted her the way she is after TRYING to fill the "worst spots" i'd seen in the x-rays/MRT
