I love it but I'm 14.
WHY CAN'T THEY JUST DO A STANDARD MODEL FOR £507 AS NORMAL WITH A SWITCHING SYSTEM AND JM P-UPS???

They'll be available used for cheaper. Save up and you'll get one, or get a summer job and figure out a store that will let you put one on layaway. That's what I did
I'm 15, and only have the guitars I do because of a great layaway program at my local music store (that I now work at ).
I'm in Marching Band and play Guitar. That's about it, pretty boring, isn't it?

I am not a big fan of blocks and binding on offsets in general but there is one single exception: daphne blue jazzmaster with matching (small) headstock.jimutraa wrote: ↑Tue Jan 16, 2018 2:42 pmet ceci aussi....

60th Anniversary Jazzmaster +Case (MEX, PF) - daphne blue
bon non?
¡pero no francés, un mexicano!
Has anybody seen pics of the fiesta red JM?
I am in the market if these new models are of comparable quality as the classic 60's offsets.

Available in September in the States. $1199. It replaces the Classic '60s, which will disappear.

So no more nitro MIM offsets? Maybe they were cutting into sales of the American Vintage guitars too much.redchapterjubilee wrote: ↑Thu Jan 25, 2018 9:35 amAvailable in September in the States. $1199. It replaces the Classic '60s, which will disappear.
I really like the look of the vintage blonde one:
Just need to replace the trem, bridge and knobs.

For anybody interested in one of the MIM's with the Pau Ferro board, just after the 16 minute mark. For the love of god mute the video though, these two are complete muppets when talking about offsets. Clueless: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vLzjzsmlW6A
The light board is pretty much the only thing putting me off one at the moment.

For those who don't like the light fretboards, couldn't you just paint some of this stuff on?

Still, I don't see why I should have to go to those lengths on a £1k guitar. Just disappointing that Fender cannot be bothered to address it.
I do wonder whether they use this as a way of pushing people up to the American Original line. I don't see a lot of difference between these two new lines other than the fretboard material to justify spending so much more.

Re: 60th Anniversary 58 reissue Jazzmaster
those new mexican fender are really cool ,don' understand why the us line don't go this way ?
but since a long time fender make me gas really hard !the new color black ,car, sonic bue are real cool ,for the blonde need to see one to be sure (the pics make me think more heavy yellowed olympic white than blonde but who knows? maybe is tasty in real )
a guard swap for some ,maybe the pups too ? cause they are not av65 like the tvl ?
by the way if i can save some money this year it will be mine oh yes ! for one ,but i am afraid like they are limited need to fight to have one and order soon before they dissapears like the AV65 ice blue (the real last gas i have from fender)
but i have already too much guitar then need to sale something but i have nothing to sale in guitar not home made (and will keep my classic lacquer jag )

Brazilian rosewood is endangered, so Fender is now instead using pau ferro on Mexican guitars, which is a lighter colour. Should the American Fenders switch instead? Or should Fender make the stuff go extinct?DavidG wrote: ↑Fri Jan 26, 2018 3:50 amStill, I don't see why I should have to go to those lengths on a £1k guitar. I think what they're doing is reasonable, and it looks fine to me - just a bit different.

Re: 60th Anniversary 58 reissue Jazzmaster
I don't disagree on the why, but if they are trying to recreate the look of something from the past using it, it looks odd. My question was if there are ways to dye it, why aren't they doing that. it sticks out the way it is at present.
