Some might even try to "improve" the shape of the body. Then 30 years later they will show up in the "Why did you do it? Why did you do this thing to me?" thread.

Re: New Fender Meteora offset at NAMM?
to all the "...would look better with a ___________ shaped headstock" comments. Yes. Agreed.
Or how about something original, instead of just playing pin the parts? I mean... that's why they got there, in the first place - right?
At this point, I'm going to infect this thread - and while slightly OT... and I assume it'll go nowhere...
counter to Fender's pin the parts style - builders like Millimetric are actual designers and you can see it from start to finish. Every detail. Nothing is overlooked. Sure, he's taken cues from classic designs... but put his own aesthetic spin on them to make something unified, complete, fresh and unique. And if a small-time guy like that, can get nearly every aspect of his hardware custom made and still keep his cost below something like a Custom Shop (which, again... pin the pre-made parts) - what the hell?? The list extends beyond Millimetric (Harvester...)... why isn't this place blowing up over guitars like that? Instead it's the big boys and boutique builders patchworking away the big-boy classics.

I like it. I would buy one assuming they won't be $3-4k...... I think the design is kind of cool. Makes me think of an axe.

I agree though that a headstock like their Arrow shaped one would make more sense with the pointy body.

Metrora is not moving me at all. Totally indifferent, but don't hate it. I think Gibson is way more capable when it comes to producing really awful goofy guitar designs.
That tele above, I really don't like the pickguard and the way trem plate looks like it's about to fall off the edge.

I’m tempted to buy the Jag Strat and bring it to every uptight blues jam ever, just because.

It's like guitar fan fiction.

but imagine if this had body contours, holy shit, with a pick guard swap out it would be a nice chunk of instrument.soggy mittens wrote: ↑Fri Jan 12, 2018 6:58 pmthis is a good comprehensive over view of the leaks, and... that jazz tele is kinda interesting....

The more I see this tele the more I want to open photoshop and fix the design.
