'90s MIK Epi Sorrento

not for everyone, but it might be for me.
just gotta swap the knobs.
i've wanted a Casino for ages and this is basically one with a Florentine cutaway - also happens to be one of my all-time fave guitar colours.
epi recently did an early '60s reissue, but it had mini-hums and i much prefer P90s.

if it's even close to being as cool as i think it'll be, then we'll have a winner on our hands.

and if it's a winner, it'll need a Bigsby, won't it ?

No, don't put a Bigsby on it. That trapeze tailpiece is what makes it what it is, don't ruin that.
Back in those days, everyone knew that if you were talking about Destiny's Child, you were talking about Beyonce, LaTavia, LeToya, and Larry.

Beautiful. I wasn't aware they made a Sorrento with P90s in that color. Superb!

I've never seen one in that finish. Beautiful. Also I second Larry's motion on no bigsby.

stunning. I had the same one in sunburst a few years ago, very light and nice thin neck, I won't had a Bigsby, to keep it raw :)

Yeah I love the Sorrento. Been after one for ages but no luck
I missed out on a really cheap one a few years back but was skint at the time now they seem really scarce and consequently, non-bargain!

Nice score by the way. Grrr!

I had the same one, but in traditional sunburst. Did let it go because of the overly narrow neck, but the sound... THE SOUND!!! Easily one of the best sounding guitars I ever had in my possession (and thing is: I'm not really a fan of the P90). Does yours also have the wrong name on the soundhole badge? Mine said Sorento (with 1 R).

(oh, and don't do Bigsby, a friend of mine has one that came with a factory Bigsby, it totally kills the sheer resonance of the guitar, making it sound like a muffled, damp squib.
