Forum member friendshipmaster said he would measure the route depths for me when his electric xii got back from paint.
I can let you know when he does.

is there any way that we could get a thread for routing depths for all projects? it'd be easier than having to trawl through a load of threads to find them for each individual model

I've got a list of routing depths on my home computer that I've compliled from a few of the forums.
I'll post it when I get home this evening.

I just thought I'd wake this thread up and come by to thank you Cooterfinger for this. I'm forever using this as a reference when I make toolpaths! I am eternally grateful :)

Thanks, I actually found most of this info here. I just got tired of walking from the workshop to the computer every time I started routing something new so I thought I'd make a list. Here's a few more things I've added.

TELECASTER DELUXE WRHBS, YOU NEED A BODY CAVITY THAT'S 1.75X3.75"

FENDER BASS VI
BODY THICKNESS: 1-5/8"
NECK POCKET AND PICKUP ROUTES: 5/8"
ALL OTHER ROUTES: 1-3/8"

1969 FENDER MAVERICK (MEASURED)
BODY THICKNESS: 1.625” OR (1.58” MEASURED)
PICKUP/SWITCH ROUTES: (0.875" MEASURED)
CONTROL ROUTE: (1.345” MEASURED)
TREM SPRING ROUTES: (1.275” MEASURED)
NECK POCKET: (0.5625” MEASURED)
NECK POCKET LENGTH (3.4” MEASURED)
PLYWOOD FRONT AND REAR PLUGS: (0.40” THICK MEASURED)

Awesome, dude! I feel like the Maverick might enjoy a resurgence soon... I might make a couple of bodies to beat the rush!

I've got a couple necks I started lying on the workbench. Maybe one day I'll get back to them.
