The Cherry Wave

Post by O Drones » Tue Jan 24, 2017 11:30 am

My band's been doing this Shoegaze fuzz worship type of thing for a few years now. I reckon some of you may be into it. For fans of No Joy, Weed, Rival Schools etc.

I don't know who those bands are but I like it!

It reminds me a lot of Sore Eyelids, I swear if I listened to those I'd call it the new album of those guys.

I really enjoyed that. Very nice guitar tones. The skill of our fellow forumites never ceases to amaze me.

Much appreciated :) For anyone who cares, the amps used were a silverface Bassman and a Vibrolux Reverb Custom '68 for the JM tones and the Jag tones are an Orange OR50 and the Bassman. :jacked:

I care. I always feel a bit intrusive asking as some people are very secretive of their sound. Thanks for the info.

loved it!
If I was a byrd, I'd be mighty sore every time they shut the door and I don't think I'd sing...

Thanks! :) It's our first recording that we've had the time to really focus on making the guitars sound as we wished. The fuzz tones are mostly a Wren & Cuff Caprid, and a Smallsound/Bigsound Team Awesome Fuzz Machine/Buzzz.

Two tracks in and want to add my vote to those who like it. I initially did not like that I have to 'search' for the vocals, but somehow the overall mix works pretty well!

Haha, thank you man. This is the most present the vocals have ever been on any of our releases too ;D
