By Leo Fender BTW.....

Very nice solid guitar. Great neck. Good sounding pickups. Hate the locking tuners but i'll survive. Some pr0n.

Glad you like it!

This guitar is badass. It feels like a grown up Mustang. The checking on the finish is craazy…

Havent measured yet but yes, it feels skinny. Hagstrom like almost. I like skinny necks.

yeah!! I love G&L's... and those early models with Leo's name seem extra special to me. I would love to try this guitar!
my first real guitar was the early ASAT. indeed I eventually found the neck to be too crowded down by the nut. my later Comanche is a much better width/profile for me. I might dig out the ASAT and give it another go... it seems I may have gathered enough playing experience by now where I'm more flexible about neck shape and radii.

someday, maybe soon, these early G&L's are gonna catch on! great quality American handmade guitars!!

gotta line on a faded pink one of these and i'm dying over here... it'd run me right around $700-750 so i'm sort of pacing around.
the nut on that blue one looks crazy- never seen one like that.

NECRO REVIVAL. Just picked one of these up from Japan in incredible condition. Reading this thread years ago had me lusting for one and I just happened to stumble upon the perfect specimen while browsing through Tokyo’s Ochanomizu district. Same color, better condition and the finish has greened a bit more. Absolutely wonderful. Will post pics soon

Congrats!

Weird when I saw this thread again, I was thinking - 'another one?'

Not sure how I didn't end up posting in this topic originally - I bought this guitar off Ed (the OP) a few years back, owned it for a year or so then sold it on consignment through Tym's guitars. A young kid who was looking for his first decent quality guitar fell in love and bought it.

Congrats on the new guitar. I got my own SC-3, an '86 in red, about one year ago. It's the best strat-adjacent guitar I've ever owned. I absolutely love the MFD pickups.
