Re: Post pics of your guitar family
Daniel,
Quite a collection! I say to hell with jack white and keep that tele as it is! The Greco firebird looks pretty amazing as well.
My black AVRI has been off of road duty for some time now, and may even be off to a new home with the recent arrival of the 61. It's a hard guitar to get rid of though, definitely have some attachment to it

Re: Post pics of your guitar family
None more black.... I am partial to a sunburst as well (not shown in pic, '89 Japanese Jazzmaster and Fender Jaguar 'Bottom Master' VI string bass (unfortunate name), both in sunburst finish).
Re: Post pics of your guitar family
My latest. Super excited to have a standard Jaguar at last. Now to find a left handed Jazzmaster...

I'm seriously considering it, however The Filtertron is a bit dark for me, I'd considering putting something else in there instead like a Jaguar or Jazzmaster pickup.apreswho wrote:Daniel,

That Greco needs a heap of work, but i'll eventually get there.
Don't get rid of it, you've used it so much, you'll regret it.

Re: Post pics of your guitar family
Top row:
In absentia - Fender FSR Classic Series ’66 Jazzmaster - (MIJ - 2012) - Original finish is Candy Apple Red - refin'd as Daphne Blue (original finish is still under the primer, so when the blue wears down, red shows through). Upgraded with Seymour Duncan Antiquity Jazzmaster pickups and Mustang bridge, Spitfire Tort pickguard, and at the time of photo, I had some Tele knurled knobs, which I since put back on the stock witchhats. This photo was taken at my tech's shop when the Spitfire tort was added. Currently, it's on loan to my friend who is selling me the '71 Jag.
Amps:
Fender '65 Reissue 40th Anniversary Deluxe Reverb
Fender '63 Reissue Vibroverb
Ampeg Micro VRT (bass amp) - with original Snorre, the Bass(et) Hound!
- Fender '57 Reissue Precision Bass (MIA 2008/2009) - Refinished in Daphne Blue.
Squier Classic Vibe 50s Duo Sonic (CIC 2012-2015) (Desert Sand) - Upgraded with Wizard Pickups' Tweed Tone Strat pickups.
Squier Vintage Modified Surf Stratocaster (CII 2012-2015) (Sonic Blue) - Upgraded with Fender Custom Shop 57/62 Stratocaster pickups - I couldn't get on with the stock Seymour Duncan-designed lipstick pickups (too tinny/glassy for me), cool as they looked.
- Gretsch "Surf" Astro Jet - (Sonic Blue) - I created with my guitar tech - '65-'68 Gretsch Astro Jet mahogany body, custom built neck, TV Jones T-Armond pickups.
Fender Standard Telecaster (MIM 2011) (Surf Green) - I swapped out stock pickups for a Seymour Duncan Broadcaster bridge pickup/Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound Jazzmaster neck pickup, Vibramate/B-5 Bigsby, and All Parts Chunky "D" rosewood neck (think baseball bat).
Squier J Mascis Signature Jazzmaster (CIC 2012-2013) - I swapped out the P90-9-ish pickups and replaced them with my Fender FSR Classic Series '66 Jazzmaster stock pickups (which are really great). Refinished in Shell Pink with matching headstock.
Fender Jaguar (MIA 1971) (Candy Apple Red) - Very recent purchase from my friend who bought it from a guy who swapped out the stock pups for Seymour Duncan Antiquity II Jaguar pickups (sound fantastic). Original owner also added a Mastery bridge & tremolo, and Schaller Tuners.
Squier Vintage Modified Mustang (CII 2012 - 2015) (Vintage White) - Very recent eBay purchase - Modified with Mustang saddles (got to hunt down 2 washers for the E string saddles), but thinking about putting in some Seymour Duncan Hot Rails or Seymour Duncan Vintage Rails (or one of each).
Fender Mustang (MIA 1965) - Original Blue Sparkle finish (special order/promotional model); recently restored with vintage 60's Kluson tuners, '65 Mustang Pearloid pickguard, and new black pickup covers - otherwise, stock!
Fender Mustang (CIJ/CIC 2015) - Parts build comprised of a Kurt Cobain Mustang (CIJ) Fiesta Red body, Fender Modern Player Mustang neck, Fender '65 Reissue pickups (may swap out for some Seymour Duncan Myth Mustang pickups), Staytrem Jaguar / Jazzmaster (Radius: 9.5 inch) bridge.
Squier Vintage Modified Jazzmaster - (CII 2012-2015) (Sonic Blue) - Swapped out stock pickups (which were decent) for Gretsch High Sensitive Filter'Tron humbuckers and put on a GuitarFetish black pearloid pickguard.
Gretsch G6120BS Chet Atkins Hollow Body - (MIJ 2006) (Blueburst) - upgrade: Tru-Arc Copper Bridge
In absentia - Fender FSR Classic Series ’66 Jazzmaster - (MIJ - 2012) - Original finish is Candy Apple Red - refin'd as Daphne Blue (original finish is still under the primer, so when the blue wears down, red shows through).
