Man this would be sweet, but $2 (or more) bucks to sign a petition?? wtf?
I think if everyone took the time to write out a decent little email to fender PR about interest in it it would have a lot more impact than some scammy online petition.

Re: SQUIER XII PETITION ON PAGE 14 - SIGN NOW
how likely is it that there will be an affordable Electric XII anytime soon? do you have any experiences with Fender reacting to demands by costumers?
I'm just asking because, I've come to the conclusion that I really NEED an Electric XII and the vintage ones are way to expensive for me.
so if there's no chance for a Squier Model or maybe a MIM ELEctric XII I have to consider building one ...

I'm betting it won't happen anytime soon. XII's have historically never sold all that well for Fender but I would've said the same about the Bass VI so who knows.

On the Squier Facebook page, they asked what you'd like to see in 2016.
I commented that I'd like to see a Squier XII.
Squier liked my comment yesterday.
I'm trying not to read anything into it, but I really want an affordable XII. Or two!

Signed it. Hopefully this gets into production so we can focus our efforts on the Swinger! Thanks for doing this!

Re: SQUIER XII PETITION ON PAGE 14 - SIGN NOW
I think the Squire Bass VI is a valid example - there are tons of people who like the idea of something more offbeat but can never justify the price as it isn't their main instrument. When the low price of the Squire VI became a reality people could justify it and it seems to have sold very well. The same could happen for a XII. The Revelation guitar line has made an affordable XII so I guess another manufacturer has tested the market as it were.funnylittle wrote:how likely is it that there will be an affordable Electric XII anytime soon? do you have any experiences with Fender reacting to demands by costumers?

There was the Venus XII from a while back so I suppose in theory they have the tooling to make some of the XII parts such as the bridge but it's probably more complicated to set up production runs where it isn't the same company making them or even the same country now they are in China or Indonesia when theVenus were made in Japan.
