Can you please DL the stang file and check it?
It works on my musicmaster body but I would love a 2nd opinion

I do have another file borrowed from the world wide wasteland if this one is out..

I can definitely check it before the run... may be a few weeks.

I'd be on board for a Black Anodized one ala Thruston Moore.

I can check the Mustang guard against my '78 body tomorrow, if that helps. What's the difference between the two PDFs; is one MIJ and the other MIA?

I've been trying my darnedest to find a Bronco/MM tracing but to no avail. Possibly not much interest in one anyways but I'd be up for it. Or let me ask this, is it too early to say if there may be future runs? I may want to stock up on my aluminum needs while this awesomely generous offer is going down then. ;)

Did there ever happen to be any word on that stripped Teisco finish, mentioned earlier? I'm guessing it's a tad more involved then anodizing :D. But honestly I'm absolutely ecstatic about the offerings as they stand now! Black and gold are perfect, and so many pattern choices! I'd given up on ever procuring a ano' Mustang guard a long long time ago. Dreams do come true .

As a side note I have a PDF for a Jazzmaster style Jaguar guard. In other words it's all one piece, plates and guard. I can't for the life of me remember who drew it up though, for sure a member here. If I can find out, maybe I can check if it would be alright to add it to the list? It's pretty nifty looking! Fairly positive it's for a VM Jag.

I'd be interested in a black anodised cij jag style guard.
Cheers

Please do.
One is based on the terrapin pdf, the other on someone's trace from this forum (can't find the author sorry!)
I can't recall which one I got to work with my Musicmaster, I'll print them both and double check.
I'm pretty sure neither is 100% MIA or MIJ.
I am keen to get direct scans of original guards, as soon as I can convince someone local to let me strip down their guitar!

I have a buddy here I sold a Bronco to a few years ago, I'll check if he still has it and scan if poss..

Looks from the pic to me like alternating brushed/polished would ape this look nicely.
I'll chat to the metal finishers when I get in there this week, but anticipate it may be too labour intensive (ie $$$).
It's looking like initially I'm going to run gold, black (and clear if requ'd) ano.

I'd love to see that!
I was thinking of building up a similar drawing but was unsure whether there'd be interes?

I'd be up for a jag sized jm guard! In fact consider this an order if you do go ahead!

curious if you've thought about getting someone in the USA to act as a distributor. Shipping from Australia must be insane for an individual guard.

Drawing is up (at the link above) so this is an option.

My biggest concern with a 1 piece jm style jag guard in any material is fitting it.
Either you'd have to route channels through from the pickup routes to the control routes, or be very patient fitting switches, and pots with no clearance.

Maybe a run matching aly control plates is in order?

Spoke to my laser cutter today, my order won't be ready til next week now :(
Will post pics as soon as the prototypes land.

Since USPS put their rates up it's around the same, or possibly slightly cheaper than what we pay to get stuff from the US. I'm getting quoted $14.10AUD (just shy of $11USD) for regular (untracked) air-mail or $21.10 ($16.35USD at the time of writing) for either a signature or tracked (but not both) service for a parcel up to 500g.
