Re: How Many Dirt (OD, Fuzz, Dist.) Pedals Live On Your Boar
On my main board there's an LPB1 to boost the clean channel of my Ampeg Gemini to edge of breakup, then the other channel gets a Danelectro CO-2 Drive, MXR Prime Distortion and Holy Stain.
Secondary board has a Biyang Fuzz Star and a Soul Food pushing my Musicmaster Bass Amp.
Then there's a Danelectro Fab Tone which is crazy cool but too unruly to live on a board.

At the moment I have.... the ARC klone, Analogman modded TS9, hotcake and bearfoot candy apple fuzz. Probably too many but I love them all
I'm looking real hard at the new EQD pallisades. I can't see myself shuffling the klone off the board but the TS9 and Hotcake don't get as much play as they once did, the EQD might be a good space saver and the tweakability looks great.

3: Klon Klone, Z-Vex Box of Rock, Voodoo Lab Overdrive. Will probably switch out the Voodoo Lab with a germanium Fuzz Face or hot-rodded Tubescreamer

KOT is permanent, itching to swap my Shiba Drive for a Fuzz Factory.
Oh wait, and a ClinchFX EP+ but it's set at unity.

Was up to five at one point but down to three now. Timmy2, Black Secret and Pickle. With an EQ and stacking the Timmy2 and the Black Secret I can get all the flavors I feel I need, just keep dreaming about another fuzz, large beaver or fat fuzz factory or something like that. :F
If OSG has tort me anything...

You need one more to make it an even 10. That's what!Jaguar018 wrote:I'm about to have nine I think. What the hell is wrong with me?

I've pared the small board down to 2 (!): SL Drive and Black Secret
I just got my PT2 operational again last weekend and it's got 3 right now: v3 BMP, Vintage Rat, and Super Badass Distortion
I think I'm going to wind up rejuggling things this weekend if I don't go to the lake instead and make the small board more hardcore/punk/sludge focused (probably have 4 dirt pedals there) and the have the big one carry the more ambient, indie, tweaked out kind of workload (probably 2 or 3 dirt pedals if I can resist putting a pair on the left and right side of the modulation/delay chain)...

I'm up to three or two now depending on how you count-
Line6 M5 and a Vexter Box of Rocks (button one and button two).
Dirt likes me. Just check out my fingernails, YUM!
I also have an SD-1 (all time favorite od) and a Joyo Voodoo Octave fuzz, both of which now live in a file cabinet drawer, damnit. PM me if you want one!

after being out of the guitar game for a while, i'll be using a Ritual Fuzz clone, a Superfuzz clone, and eventually a rat or muff (clone)... with an SD-1

Mine, I've had 3 in the last 5 years, have all been purchased from MF, new, and haven't had any mods done whatsoever. They've all sounded exactly the same, which is to say, great.dsiew wrote:veryredtomatoes wrote:I also have an SD-1 (all time favorite od)Which version do you guys use? At one point it was four pedals: Timmy -> Walrus Audio Mayflower -> Walrus Audio Iron Horse -> EQD Hoof fuzz, which was during a phase I went through that was all about having as much as possible. I also ran three delays at that point. Thank god it's just two dirt pedals now: Walrus Audio Voyager -> EQD Palisades.

Just in an FX discovery phase now, so goofing with a GT-8. I use my Blues Deluxe's dirt channel for treble boosting and light dirt, the GT's TS sound for mid boost/OD, and GT's COSM Marshall for low-end and high gain. Fun to mix and match, will probably try to replicate a similar dynamic on a real pedal board soon.
