Re: Anodized pickguards
Would it be possible for a striped pattern to be done? Similar to what's found on some old Teisco's.
I believe it's alternating brushed and polished. Here's a huge version of the above photo.

Also curious if brown, bronze or copper colors are an option.

YEAH THESE STRIPED GUYS RIGHT HERE. That would be neat to see done again.

I'll check with my guy when I meet with him this week.
Stoked there's such a positive response to this!
Certainly the incentive I need to get this up and happening ASAP!!

Re: Anodized pickguards
I think forumite Workoffire used to make really nice black and gold anodized guards some time ago, and the demand was rather high. He seems to be off the grid these days (getting a PhD if I remember correctly) so it would be nice if somebody did that again. I may be interested in a CIJ one, depending on the price and the quality.
We got people playing stringed instruments! It's the end of days.

Re: Anodized pickguards
OK OK OK, I've been quiet on this front, whilst dealing with work stuff and other projects.
I am, however, back into the swing as I need to get a bunch of anodizing done for work.
As such, I've pulled my finger out and completed drawings for the guards most people have been interested in:
https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B2WV7 ... authuser=0" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
MIJ drawings are in the works, but I'm going to prototype these shapes this week.
I do plan to be able to do custom versions of these, but that will have to wait for now til the details are ironed out.
If are still thinking about these (after all this time) please print and check against your guard/body.
Once I get these prototypes back from laser, have them brushed and anodized, I'll have a real sense of what I'll be able to offer them for.
Thanks for your patience!

How different is a JMJM to an AVRI?Trout wrote:I voted other cuz i want a custom J Mascis guard.
VMJM and AVRI are pretty much interchangeable, yeah?
Maybe print this off and check?

I should be receiving a warmoth body soon, I'll check the template from their website and see how it fits.

I really don't know. But I'd like to think someone on this forum must already have a pdf of a JMJM pickguard

Re: Anodized pickguards
Squier Mascis is the same as Classic Player which is the same as AVRI but without the big TOM bridge cutout, which really isn't necessary.
