Anodized pickguards
Hey guys,
I'm gassing hard for a black anodized guard for my upcoming jag build.
Spoke to my lazer cutting guy and my anodizing guy - they both have minimum order values, etc..
Long story short, I'm thinking about getting a batch made.
For Jaguar, Jazzmaster, Mustang and Bass VI.
Maybe something else?
In gold and black.
My question to you, the greater offset building community, is what spec to get cut?
AVRI, VM, MIJ?
Please only cast a vote if you would actually be keen on getting hold of one.
If/when this happens, I'll start a thread in the for sale area and let you all know..
Peace!

Re: Anodized pickguards
AVRIs more or less fit the VMs, so if you got AVRI made I'd imagine that would be the biggest possible audience for you to sell to. Good of you to make the offer too!
Cheers

Another vote for AVRI. Most people building parts projects would want AVRI specs too I Imagine.
Interesting topic if they come out at a nice price!

If the price is reasonable, I'd take a black and gold for the Jag, are there other colors available?

Yeah, I'd be very interested in a black JM guard if the price is decent.
This is an excellent rectangle

Re: Anodized pickguards
There are heaps of colours available, so if there was demand for anything other than black or gold, it could be arranged.
What colour are you after?
Thanks for the response guys! I'll get cracking on the CAD drawings.

Re: Anodized pickguards
Black. Toneguard has them for $100 so beating that by a reasonable amount is a good goal.

I voted AVRI. I'd definitely take a Mustang or better yet Music Master guard in black or gold. Possibly both if the price was right.
Been wanting a Mustang gold guard for a long time actually, surprising hard to come by.

Could do a musicmaster guard if someone can get me a scan/trace.

Re: Anodized pickguards
Black AVRI is a total no-brainer. Where do I sign up for a Jag guard?
I imagine that a vintage correct 9 hole 59 guard would interest quite a few people. They'd be picky about the details though.
If were talking odd colours, something similar to fiesta red or burgundy would be very interesting. Eventually you'd sell them all.

Re: Anodized pickguards
I've been wanting an AVRI one. I'd like to spend less than $100, so if this can happen, let me know!
Back in those days, everyone knew that if you were talking about Destiny's Child, you were talking about Beyonce, LaTavia, LeToya, and Larry.

Re: Anodized pickguards
That would be awesome. When I say Music Master I mean the 60's Mustang style guard, not the original one. So I think just a vintage correct Mustang guard with a single neck pickup cut out would be just dandy.gdayj wrote:Could do a musicmaster guard if someone can get me a scan/trace.
Man a fiesta red or burgundy wold be awesome to see. I loved those cyan Eden guards. Didn't like the vertical brush on them though. I could be in for a a color similar to that cyan or maybe a dark blue for a daphne/sonic blue guitar.

Put me down for an MIJ mustang in gold anodized. Wanted one for ages!
