Maple Neck Fender Jazzmaster?

Were there a whole lot of these? I've heard of a few 'prototype' Jazzmaster that had them. Does anybody know anything about these guitars? Pictures?

I can't even imagine a cream or desert colored with an anodized and a maple neck.. sooo amazing

I've not seen any standard production Jazzmaster with maple boards. But you could mock it up in the dressing room at the top of the page.

IIRC, some of the Squier VM Jazzmasters had maple boards.

Think i ve seen in OSG a 70s jazzmaster with maple neck and black blocks and binding .Also a japanese with blonde finish and gold anodized pickguard but all these are very rare.

This is from an old ebay auction, if I remember the story well it is supposed to be a an old custom fender made for Kiefer Sutherland ? ... on of the most gorgeous JM imo.

I was going to go maple on my last build but didn't at the last minute. I wanted an all-one-color guitar; maple, cream, oly white… Would look like this if I had:

Soooo nice. I wish they would make an interchangable maple neck for both the jaguar and jazzmaster MIJ or USA. I found this hunting online...

yes they made a handful in the late 60s/early 70s.
this one is in the fender book, but does nowadays actually belong to another OSGer here (from/in france, iirc)

You don't see too many of those maple necks from the late 60's/ early 70's. It would be great if Fender started offering a maple neck jazzy/jag. Maybe a nice reissue is in order

I'm not a fan of block inlays but hell, beggers can't be choosers lol.

The body on that Jazzmaster is also interesting, or more specifically the color. It's almost as if it's a honey burst as opposed to a 3tsb.

My jazzmasters neck is maple, but the fretboard isn't.
