If I was a byrd, I'd be mighty sore every time they shut the door and I don't think I'd sing...

Those are still cool but they are modern Rick knobs.
The knobs used on 1950's Combo and Capri guitars were these, also seen on lap steels of that era:

Insane. I’ve been trying to find Travis Bean copies but had no luck. How the hell is someone making a Veleno?!
If anyone knows where aluminum neck copies for cheap are happening plz post them - or even copies made of wood like this

it will! i'm pretty excited!mackerelmint wrote: ↑Tue Jun 05, 2018 3:44 pmHey, that's gonna be a hell of a cool guitar when that's done!
the strip down the center of the body is from an old floor board from our house. i wanted to do the whole top with the floor board, but there wasn't enough usable pieces for it. so, the builder came up with this idea

It is already on his Facebook today
If it is anything like the one I had, it will sound absolutely glorious. I eventually could not get on with the neck and sold it, but anyone who played it loved it.
Let us know as soon as you open the box!

i had a socialite, too. it was one of the 12 string conversions...
and the neck was quite fat...i didn't get rid of it for that reason, but i prefer thinner necks, too (even to the point of liking Ric necks).
so, i asked him to slim it down...if i remember correctly, he said he put a V carve on it.
