You know, it occurred to me, but "grote" is like a contraction of "gross scrote" so have fun with that mental image. :D

Grote means Great one in dutch. So it's not all that weird. I'm really curious about the end result. Do they make every guitar style?

Could you order a guitar that's finished and setup, but with no electronics? If so that is an idea I might be interested in checking out in the future. I always wanted a non-cutaway les paul...

Hell, now that I think about it... Do you think they could do all the woodworking and leave the finish work up to me? I love doing finishes myself.
I finally finish building a guitar, go to play it, and then remember, "oh yeah, that's right. I suck at playing... Why did I build another guitar again?"

I've been to one World's Fair, a picnic, and a rodeo, and that's the stupidest thing i ever heard come out a pair of headphones.

OK... this project is back on track after a short hiatus ...

I had asked whether the Chinese guitar factory was able to source cream coloured mini Humbucker mounting rings.... but after investigating for a while (plus my contact having a summer vacation) it appears not. So I said to stick with the black plastic (I have sourced cream coloured rings myself from the USA anyway)

The colour balance of the photos is a but weird, but you 'll get the idea.
