I thought Florian wasn't taking any orders for a while?

He's moving shops in April, and last I checked was booked out until early 2017.

Don't jinx me bro ha ha. I've been talking with Laurie and for about a week now and I'll be putting my down payment on the guitar in about three more days.
F has asked me wait a week or two before getting things started, and i have no idea what his working pace is like. in the meantime i'll just be riffing around on a sonic
blue jazzmaster so things could be worse.

Right now it seems her about choosing between a pink body and maple neck or a dark yellow cream with walnut Nick I think were both considering the latter option the most ...

kind of feeling second-from-top-left (light naples)

colour really stokes me and sort of affects my playing i think.
trying to get a light-warm yellow that doesn't make the guitar look like a melting bumblebee.

why walnut ?
b/c in high school i bought an Ovation USA Standard Balladeer with perhaps the most comfortable/smooth neck in the world...walnut !
plus it's a deep rich brown that'd provide good contrast.
softer than maple but should help mellow out the pickups just a bit.

I'm not really into the longhorn inspired design, but the other is the perfect amount of modernist weirdness. That amp is great too.

The longhorn model looks a bit like a homemade Steinberger but with a headstock. That open headstock is genius for the truss rod access tho'

I love the body and pickguard design on this, very cool. Not digging the headstock shape though. I'd prefer something less symmetrical, keeping inline with the rest of the guitar.

Very cool looking guitar. I'm definitely in the "love it" camp. Been looking for information on these for a few days now and scrutinizing the pics. The neck has no thickness taper correct? Also, has anyone posted sound clips? Would love to actually hear one, especially with the custom TB90 pickups. Did I read above that you have played one of his guitars? If so, impressions?

Thanks,
Craigo

Gosh, what impeccable design sense. Do yourself a favor & d/l Florian's catalog -- it's truly inspiring. I love the way the necks are anchored to the bodies; I'd imagine that's good for tone transmission, as well as making the instruments damn near indestructible. I wanna hear sound clips!

I like this guitar, but my biggest concern is that it is not a sit-down guitar because of how thin the body is. I owned guitars with thin bodies that were still thicker than this, and playing them sitting down was a challenge.

Regarding color, Banana Creme!

Yes, these guitars look incredible!! Seems like a good price too for such a unique and custom guitar.

In general, my sensibilities lie decidedly on the vintage side of the spectrum, but I think these look really cool. The neck attachment is a great idea. It is very similar to a Travis Bean. Granted it is aluminum, but the sustain and attack of my TB1000S is pretty insane. Even being all wood, these would still have to make a big difference. I wouldn't mind having one.
