ID requested
This is Emmett Kelly who plays with Ty Segall. The photo is from a Halloween party last year (hence the makeup). Other photos from this series show the headstock but there's a clip-on tuner which blocks out most of the logo. Can't help but think that it's a Gibson DC of some flavor. I've seen that pickguard cut before but can't place it.
Can anyone help?

Zal Cleminson called, he wants his makeup back.
Looks like some sort of Gibson DC to me too, though the pickguard isn't something I've seen before.

This is an excellent rectangle

There are several other pictures of it from that show here. It clearly says Gibson in one of them, but I am totally unfamiliar with a flat top LPDC with binding on the body and headstock. It freakin' rules, whatever it is.

Re: ID requested
I agree on the Gibson double cut with probably a custom cut guard. The odd part to me is a bound body and headstock, but with an unbound fretboard.

Re: ID requested
I was thinking it was a Jonny A signature guitar but its not quite pointy enough. Cool guitar though.
LP dual cut or Longhorn?

I tweeted The Cairo Gang (Emmett Kelly's primary affiliation) and received this response:
it's a redone '59 les paul special.

"Redone" would be a bit of an understatement.
The more I look at it the more totally bad ass that thing becomes.

I was thinking the same thing too. It may very well be faux binding on the headstock. Something that was cooked up when the pickguard was done so that it matches. Perhaps it's just the angle, but to me the binding on headstock looks a bit too thick/wide.sjperry54 wrote:I agree on the Gibson double cut with probably a custom cut guard. Otherwise, I think it's a reissue (without binding) LP special dc, but pimped up a bit:

Any one have a clue what Emmett Kelly is playing here? It's from an concert with Ty Segall and the Muggers. I think it can be a Gibson les paul jr dc with an extra humbucker at the neck. It also have a Bigsby. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R-4K7LLgWqk

Hey man, I realise this was a while ago and you may have answered this by now but thought I'd pitch in.
I met Emmett after a Ty show in Glasgow last year and was wondering the same thing, so I asked! It's an old Ibanez Les Paul Jr Copy, with added bigsby and something resembling a wide range humbucker. Killer guitar that sounds even more impressive in the flesh.

Thanks @jeckmartian for answering my question. Here is some more about the original question: https://www.premierguitar.com/articles/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ... nzy?page=2
As already found out, it´s a Les Paul 59 Special DC. The pickups in it is Duncan Antiquity humbuckers.
