I like this! St. VIncent EB MM Guitar

I don't know anything about the woman. But this is a nice looking guitar, to me, anyway. I bet that a lot of folk wouldn't like it, it's that kind of thing.
Back in those days, everyone knew that if you were talking about Destiny's Child, you were talking about Beyonce, LaTavia, LeToya, and Larry.

Looks like wearing a dress.

I like Musicman guitars on principal. Still looks a bit bulky. Ever imagine how people would view you at a show or etc. playing any specific axe? I am right now. Seems right for playing next to Taylor Swift, but I'd feel odd say doing a solo act with it; distracting.
King Buzzo: I love when people come up to me and say “Your guitar sound was better on Stoner Witch, when you used a Les Paul. “...I used a Fender Mustang reissue on that, dumbass!

Looks cool. The squared off non-reverse bird thing works well for me aesthetically.

Civilians don't care what guitar you play, only that you sound good.

I think it's good that she has her own shape and not some timid spin on someone else's. the vibrato isn't my style but it's obviously her style. Aesthetically I'm not a fan of the smurf hat head stock with that body. It makes me think of those children's flip books where you can have the head of the baker and the legs of a frogman, or in this case smurfs hat with Roland Mouret frock.

We're all really excited about these at work, and I can't wait to get some in.

I love the all rosewood necks on MMs and three mini-buckers sounds sweet!

I don't like how skinny the necks are though.

St. Vincent Signature Ernie Ball

Post by boomlights » Thu Aug 27, 2015 12:58 pm

Specs say 10" neck w/ a 25.5 inch scale! I'm super stoked on the shape - dress/tuxedo or not! I never could appreciate the Albert Lee (her mainstay live guitar), so this was a welcome surprise.

Keep in mind Annie used to often play a Harmony Bobkat & kept a Fender Lead II in rotation for her last tour, so I hope this won't look super tiny on (ahem) larger humans like myself. Either way: mahogany! and those inlays look pretty great.

What is acoustic? Oh, you means a grandpa's guitars? A grandpa's guitars? That's for pussies and grandpas. I think you know it.

Yup, that's the one! Seems like a lot of people flipping them on Reverb & elsewhere had custom colors done to them (orange, purple sparkle, et al) , but I believe Annie's was a standard 2-HB configuration in total black.

Larry, I edited your post so we don't end up with multiple threads..

I like it. I knew it was coming for a while but had no idea what the body shape would be. I'm not blown away but I'm not disappointed either.
BUT... when I first saw it, I immediately thought of Glenn Tipton's (Judas Priest) custom Hamer from years ago. It's mostly just the upper half of the body...

I'm surprised by the mini humbuckers though... I've never seen her play a guitar with them ???
Also, the EB headstock isn't my favorite aesthetically but I love its function. Straight string-pull is always a good thing.

Personally I don't really dig it aesthetically, but I gotta echo the props for at least being new and different. It'd be so easy for her to just partner with Eastwood and put her name on their Bobkat copies to sell them and call it a day. This is much cooler.

I showed it to my friend and that was what he said immediately.

I can't stop thinking about this guitar.

What is wrong with me???
