Lovely trio, Pat :-*

Thanks for the bad thoughts, with regard to that Riviera that's been modded with P90s....

Loving that Hofner, Flurko! Can we see more of it? Also, rhythm chief pickups are nice! I have a replica of one in my LP special-ish guitar and it sounds fabulous in the neck position. Plenty of clarity.
Thanks ! Here are the pictures from my ngd thread :

There is little in the world that's nicer to look at than Hofner's burst over Maple. Even my import hofner has it. Though I bet it's much nicer in old lacquer.

Hofners are such sleeper guitars.
If it wasn't for disappointment, I wouldn't have any appointments.

Now you're talking! This thing is classy as fuck!! What model is it?

What's the deal with the Coronado, Parry? Jazzmaster vibrato?
You think you can't, you wish you could, I know you can, I wish you would. Slip inside this house as you pass by.

Thanks ! From the seller's informations, it is a model 4550 from the late sixties, the bigger acoustic archtop they made.

I don't have any point of comparison regarding how this kind of guitar should sound like, but it has a nice plonky sound.

So much goodness in this thread! That Hofner, now this Coronado. What’s the deal with the JM trem? I love it!

Thanks very much!
Modern Player Coronado, routed for JM pickups, trem, and bridge - matched headstock and rebuilt with other goodies.

I got my first semi-hollow this past November, refinished my first guitar last December, and now I'm addicted to both.

Some days I think this needs a Bigsby, but it looks sharp without one and although I want to reach for a vibrato arm occasionally, it’s only occasionally.

Other days I want an Epiphone like Parry’s to pair with it.
