shame you're modding it I think it looks killer as it is! Definately a strong candidate for the monster telecaster thread!mynameisjonas wrote:I got a new neck for the Cabronita, so the old one went on the body of my smashed squier. Wired it up with a pickup I had lying around, and it sounds and plays really good
I'm gonna re-style it to mimic a Burns Sonic, with a black thinline pickguard and german carve on the body (which I talked about in the Cabronita's build thread).

So you like my pickup... err... "route"?
The finish on the thing is actually a bit hazardous. It's chipped and cracked all over the place, and since the thick poly is so hard, I've actually cut myself on it a few times. So it's got to go.

Nah, I already have 3 jazzmasters. I think I could use a standard sounding tele.

I love Teles, but I like Strats, Jazzmasters, and Jaguars more.

I think I'm over the honeymoon period with my tele, considering changing the pickups for something a little grittier. P90 in the neck maybe?

I fell in love with an '86 CIJ Thinline Tele. Sounds great and is so light!. I prefer a thick neck though... All-in-all, it's too expensive. But man, crrraaaaaving it.
Maybe I'll just pick up a Squier version and get a new neck...

Hello, first post here. Don't have an offset yet (working on it), but what I do have is a Tele. Added a four way switch and between the v/t knobs is a little toggle switch for phase. Not sure exactly why, but I just don't like push/pull pots and the space between the knobs is perfect for a toggle. I'd like a second Tele at some point in the future. I'm thinking filtertron->output jack with no volume or tone controls.

It's a nice guitar, I would. It's a shame, that's the major downfall of the classic vibe line - the necks are too thin.StevenO wrote:I fell in love with an '86 CIJ Thinline Tele.
