I really love my SuperStrat/Strat. I know she isn't full superstrat but she's also only a half-blood strat so I think it qualifies 8)
After my Jazzy, this is for sure my favorite guitar. She has gone through a few mods, the most noticeable are the pups which are all Seymour Duncans btw.
neck: vintage staggered
middle: Custom Shop Five-Two for Strat
bridge: Invader

I had one real similar to that at one time.

Not a bad guitar at all. But that humbucker proved to be too much for me. So it got ebayed.
I have one just like this, but it is all-black and with the same bridge as your black tele had.

WOAH. Looks like an Omar-from-TMV build to me! But I see the Superstrat-y kind vibe.

i wouldent call them super strats but everyone in my band has a heavly modifyed strat.

the bridge is locked back on it so i dont rip out the spring claw thing. the tele is a long going project for my bandmate stuart (stugy on osg)

Image
gemma has this modifyed bullet strat with a hotrail in the neck and a quarter pounder in the bridge finished in rover applejack green

Haha

Well basically its a HSH strat with a hotrail instead of a humbucker in the neck. I don't like the two tones (or tonz as Sean would say) so I replaced one of the tone pots for a SPDT on-on switch that brings in the bridge pick up at any time. So i can have the neck and bridge on or all three pick ups on at the same time.

I did originally planned to have to additional switches that change the humbucker and the hot rail to be series, parallel or coil split but later scrapped the idea and just stuck with the single switch that engaged the bridge pick up at any time.

Right now the guitar is getting the trem anchor holes repaired and some little final touches done.

I should be getting it back from the repair shop on Wednesday or Thursday...so yay

Finally I can play this monster of a project after so long of having it not finished for so long.

Best part, I gave that strat to a dude who put $500 into it (kept the aesthetics intact) but new pups, fret redress, electronics, bridge etc etc.. It was a $300 Japanese strat I stupidly bought back in Tucson AZ back in 1990..

And he says if I ever want it back it's mine gratis.. I'm a scumbag etc, but dude you put $500 into something I used to prop open the trunk of my cavalier, no way I'm gonna take it from you.. Not to mention, it's still a strat

Thanks!
I just found and purchased the correct bridge for it yesterday. This guitar is my current favorite, i love all the pickup combos, the neck is perfect, and i don't have to worry about it.
The bridge is wicked. A giant hunk of brass, identical to those used on the old-school Charvel guitars.
It deserves to have one.

I put this together for a talented 12 year old daughter of a former co-worker. It's not really a fender strat but close. The HB is a GFS dream 180, I don't remember what the single coils were but it sounded really nice and I was reluctant to let it go.
