I find it a 'bit' too expensive though. I read in a Dutch guitar magazine that it's being made in Japan.

Pretty sure all Gretsch's are made in Japan now.  Read that somewhere... although I could be wrong.

the expensive ones are Japan made, then the cheaper Korean ones...

there were a couple of models built in the USA, can't remember which ones, or if they are still being made, they were out-of-this world expensive!

Ah, I didn't know that. I thought the higher end models were made in the US.
