Is it me, or is that bigsby not centered/aligned properly?

It's fine!
It looks likea Bigsby, but is substantially different. Note the cams for each string:

Great! Glad it worked out quickly. When you get the time, give us some overview of the sound and describe these mysterious pickups! Perhaps compare it to the ASAT Special featured earlier in the thread; I know they will be different, but my main guitar these days is a Special so the comparison might help me imagine the Powers E.Maggieo wrote: ↑Wed Nov 15, 2023 3:07 pmI found my easy fix! A squirt of contact cleaner, and then twisting the knobs for a couple of minutes, and damn, the pots are fine now!mediocreplayer wrote: ↑Wed Nov 15, 2023 2:27 pmOh no, I was very excited when I saw these come out, so this is quite disappointing. At the price these guitars sell for there should be zero flaws.
Hopefully an easy fix and you fall in love with the guitar after!
So, I've been able to play it a bit more, and it's pretty major. Reminds me a bit of a Casino or 339. You know, hollowbody/single coil thing.

It looks like if an G&L SC-2 had a weird love child with one of the early 00s First Act Custom Shop guitars. Really pretty guitar.

Thanks, guys!
I'm trying to get my chops back after an extended layoff of playing. Fucking depression.

Got the Powers out and played it some today. Took a photo:

The neck is exemplary; so very easy to play, up and down the fretboard. Very comfortable. Powers' take on the Bigsby is great. Super stable!
The hollow body had been letting me re-learn some old feedback tricks, too!

Re: NGD: Powers Electric A-Type
Here's some more info from Glen at Powers:
The pots are both a 1 Meg modified audio taper made by Bourns. Andy chose them specifically for their feel and sweep, and the way they interact with the other component values and pickup characteristics.
The CamTail trem can be made floating by removing the little black set screw (or just backing it out until it doesn't get in the way) that acts as a stop. Use a 1/16” Allen key. You'll need to retune because the trem will naturally tilt backwards, making the tuning sharp initially.
