OSG Rickenbacker (and Rickenfaker) thread?
Sal mentioned in another topic that "all the action is over in the Rickenbacker thread"...but I don't think we have one! (If there's one - and I have looked - please correct me)
So here we go. Vintage, modern, copies, clones, etc (trigger warning for John Hall), stuff them here.
This is mine, 2008 360/6

My 2003 330/6 is quickly turning into my favorite guitar. It just feels and sounds right when I play it. I've literally had multiple dreams regarding Jetglo 620s since getting this guitar too.
Then with the rest of its unintentionally all-sunburst family.

Great idea! Some people have got some lovely Rics on here
I’ve been eyeing this up as it’s cheap due to brutal UV destruction of the finish. Still got the sticker though

I have nothing to offer anybody, except my own confusion?

The finish on mine is pretty fucked-up with the checking (and some shrinking on the binding) but I was fine with that as I got it for a good deal - for a Ric.sal paradise wrote: ↑Sun Apr 02, 2023 10:57 amGreat idea! Some people have got some lovely Rics on here

I wish mine had the sticker so I could have the satisfaction of peeling it off and putting it in the bin where it belongs
I am watching a Greco copy right now, and had someone offer me a good deal on a 480. I hesitated and missed out on that one though.

I haven't got one at the moment, but here is a 660 I used to own.
Killer guitar, but a tad too small on me, so I moved it on...I'd like an OS 360 at some point in Fireglo.

I actually really like the faded red, going towards magenta. I love Rics but I'm not a Fireglo fan, except for some vintage ones I've seen that have yellowed to the point that they go towards orange.sal paradise wrote: ↑Sun Apr 02, 2023 10:57 amGreat idea! If I could figure out how to post pics here, I'd share my turquoise 350v63 with added Winfield vibrato, high-gain pickups (the horror!) and replaced wiring harness.

I just noticed Peter Buck has one of those solid brass Stars Guitars bridges on his main 360. Has anyone tried that set-up before?

All of these Ric'se are gorgeous, giving me serious GAS for one again. I've been through this stage a few times where I really want one because I love the looks but when I play one there is something off with the necks. I'm not sure what it is but it feels very narrow, although I just checked the specs and it isn't really that much thinner than Fenders at the nut. Perhaps I should try one again...
Daniel Johns riffing out on a 330/12 ignited the fire in me as a kid for a Ric.
