Fender To Release An Evangelion Themed Guitar

Post by X-Ray Spex » Wed Apr 29, 2020 12:38 am

Paging HNB & mcsleazy https://www.kotaku.com.au/2020/04/fende ... 1AsFifoFjM

I like the look and the specs but know nothing about the series.

Also it's $2348.75USD so there's that, I think I'd take one of HNB's homemade tributes over it in a heartbeat.

I first read that this as an Evangelical themed guitar, made for church worship guitarists. My guess it would have had a built in Big Sky Reverb.

But I am relieved I misread. I guess they will leave said guitars to Martin, something they can put next to their Brexit guitar.

I like the colour theme on it, but have never seen a single second of Evangelion.
The only anime I've ever watched was Record of Lodoss War.

the evangelion mechs themselves are cool-but-ugly and this guitar captures that pretty well if you ask me!

HNB signature edition?

I love the Lace pickups actually. But weren’t these official?

I like the Rei ones better than Asuka one...

Why did they go tele? The least futuristic body design Fender has? Why not an Eva Meteora? Why Asuka? I like the neck plate.

I like the idea, but not the execution. :) A NERV guitar would be cool. Black with Red accents or the other way around. I love the spear neck. That with a Lilith body would be something I had to buy. :)

Even if you're not familiar with Evangelion, the design and specs of the guitar are sure to catch your attention. It's understandable that the price tag might give you pause, but sometimes the allure of a unique collector's item is hard to resist.
It's cool that you're considering HNB's homemade tributes – there's something special about handcrafted pieces with a personal touch. Plus, they often come with their own stories and character.
