I have a set of un potted DUrbano pickups in my Firebird. Maybe I’m just lucky, but I’ve never had a problem with severe microphonics or squealing. I often play with heavy gain/ lots of fuzz. They are of course slightly microphonic, in that i can speak through them when
I have my fuzz pedals on. I of course don’t have the same exact pickups potted, so I can’t claim to know what effect it had on the tone. I will say that they are one of my favorite sets of pickups ever.

Compared to the stock pickups the difference is night and day though. The modern Gibsons were over compressed and fairly harsh. Vintage style have a fairly balanced eq curve. More top end then you would expect from any humbucking pickup. They are also way less compressed and open feeling,

I’ve also had no experience with the creamery set, but have heard nothing but good things about there pickups.
