2x NGD Ibanezes!!! NOW WITH A PIC

Post by Pacafeliz » Thu Sep 12, 2019 8:14 am

Well that was kinda unexpected.
I can't figure out how dumb imgur app works to post pics.

Just imagine a crackwored 70s lawsuit SG Deluxe copy with an angled single coil in the neck and an evil OBL rail humbucker in the bridge. Neutered Bigsby vibrola.
Saw it and fell in love. Plus it was cheap. Plays dreamy. I think the mini switch is a coil tap, too.

And then there's a 1979 black refin ST55. Classy. Traded the butchered lefty Tokai carcass for it.

Honeymoonig is nice. :-*

Works swimmingly! What's going on with that neck pickup on the SG? haha How many Ibanez SGs does that make for you now, three? :D

I love that they literally used an LP control panel cover for the neck pickup surround on the SG copy. :D

Is that Bigsby arm thing on sideways? (It looks like no extra holes were drilled to use that back-panel as a neck pickup ring? If the route underneath is clean, I’d remove that ASAP ;) But that’s me.)
King Buzzo: I love when people come up to me and say “Your guitar sound was better on Stoner Witch, when you used a Les Paul. “...I used a Fender Mustang reissue on that, dumbass!

It looks like it's just been mounted backwards. If you unscrewed that little thing on the right (don't know what it's called, the spring retainer maybe?) and rotated it 180 degrees, it'd line up and be ready for a spring and arm.

It's such a zany mix of mods...I love it.

Yaay!

Yep, today I'm gonna try to restore the Bigsby (have a spare one here for parts). I was planning to restore it, but I really really like the sound of that single coil.
