Before/After Thread

I came across a FB memory post of a photo I took when I first purchased my Highway 1 Tele and found myself shocked and amused by how much wear it had incurred in the time since. Made me thinking that it could be a fun thread. So post a before, post an after, and post a little story explaining what happened!
BEFORE
AFTER
This guitar is a 2006. My old bass player bought it for me at GC in Union Square, NYC in late 2012 when I was forced to sell my only electric to pay the rent that month. It's been a faithful workhorse for the last seven years and was my main guitar in my current band for the first few before I got into my Yamahas/Gibsons. Due to the thin finish, it's been subject to a lot of wear/sweat damage, which has also rusted out most of the screws and the bridge saddles. Looks really gnarly, but I honestly might refinish it someday because I don't think the blue ages into a particularly nice color. Would probably get it back to its original color if I did.
Also of note as far as changes go: Changed out the rounded knows for the standard barrel ones because I lost both of them. Swapped out the pickups for Dimarzio Area-T at the recommendation of fellow forumite Jonesie which took care of the noise and hum from the original overwound ones that came with it. They sound great and I'd highly recommend if someone who wants as close to singles as you can get without the hum.
