Isn't that pretty cool? I think the graphic pattern is something she owns with the artist who made it for her, or something like that. I absolutely love it though.jakeisjake wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2019 3:30 pmwow! they are pretty great!Shadoweclipse13 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 09, 2019 7:00 pmTheir guitars have always felt really solid to me, when I've messed with them. I just wish they made the Jenn Wasner signature lefty

Re: Reverend Guitars Experiences
Their music is good , too
If I was a byrd, I'd be mighty sore every time they shut the door and I don't think I'd sing...

Re: Reverend Guitars Experiences
I need to check out some earlier albums I think. I had Tween and didn't love it. They've got some interesting rhythms and melodies, but they never really hooked me either. I remember hearing a demo version of Watching The Waiting and liking it SO much better than the album version.

I had a Tricky Gomez, a Billy Corgan, and a Double Agent(offset). Great guitars with great pickups. The BC-1 was particularly amazing and I wish I hadn’t sold it.

I would suggest you check out Civilian. Still my pick as Wye Oak’s best record.Shadoweclipse13 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 06, 2019 1:29 amI need to check out some earlier albums I think. Re: Reverend Guitars Experiences
Thanks for the heads up! I really wanted to like them, and the rhythms were cool, but the album just weren't my thing. Hopefully Civilian will be more my taste!!beauzooka wrote: ↑Sun Nov 10, 2019 9:58 pmI would suggest you check out Civilian. Re: Reverend Guitars Experiences
I’ve owned a Volcano, which had great tone and lots of mojo... but I sit to play 90% of the time, so I sold it to avoid collecting dust. It had a chunky neck, which added some nice variety to my arsenal. I genuinely miss the volcano. It’s on my list to re-acquire someday because, hey, it’s an offset “V”.
My main axe is a Reverend Club King 290. I originally had a hard tail CK 290 in Midnight Black, but sold it to buy a newer model with the factory Bigsby. More recently bought a custom one-off Club King, transparent orange with Railhammers and the Bigsby (aka, my current avatar). So now I have two!!
If I could only have one guitar, it would probably be this Club King 290.
Competition for my “one guitar” could be my Reverend Charger HB. I originally coveted a Fano SP6 because it’s a LP-Tele hybrid. Then I was in the market for an HH Tele, but waffling between a ‘72 Deluxe and a Blacktop... and then I tried the Charger HB — DONE! Such a magnificent beast and the ultimate LP-Tele hybrid. It plays itself, has such a breadth of tone and sounds great with any amp. I love Reverend’s Bass Contour Control (BCC), and you get more range out of that pot with Humbuckers—just dynamite. I almost never touch my tone knob anymore.
I could go on for days about Reverend’s design, build quality, constant innovation, playability, tone, price point, not being a mega-corporation... everything! I have owned guitars from many different companies and the only non-Reverends I’ve kept are product lines that Reverend doesn’t dabble in, like short-scale offsets. If Reverend decided to chase the Mustang/Duo-Sonic market, I’d probably be an early adopter.

Re: Reverend Guitars Experiences
FYI - Volcanos have been discontinued by Reverend - due to the onerous Gibson legal arseholes.
And... Wye Oak just released a new song yesterday, which I like a lot:
