Can anyone ID this guitar?...
Held by Stephen Stills (top) & David Crosby (bottom)...
Weird pickups. I'm wondering if maybe they're custom jobs?
I'm looking at Gisbons & Gretschs online but haven't found anything close yet.
Maybe it's a different brand entirely. Dunno.

You think you can't, you wish you could, I know you can, I wish you would. Slip inside this house as you pass by.

IIRC it's a Guild Starfire XII, heavily modified by those hippie types at Alembic.

Re: Can anyone ID this guitar?...
From another forum...
"It started life out as a 1970 Gibson Crest. Luthier Mario Martello added the new neck and fingerboard and Ron and Rick did all of the other modifications. This is also the first guitar to feature LED's."
Cool.
*I added the link as I'd never even heard of a Gibson Crest.

I stand corrected!
Interesting, I hadn’t heard of the Gibson Crest either...as 70s as a Weeble wearing bell bottoms!

Yeah, a CITES inspector's wet dream too. Apparently the whole body was Brazilian Rosewood.

omg, I had forgotten the Crest, thanks for reminding me! Ew.
But obviously a good project guitar.
