Re: MJT Stratocaster SLIMER
Ooh, necks look great!! You should do a little splotch of green on the head to match the body...

Re: MJT Stratocaster SLIMER
They didn't have the candy green in the auto store when I went today. I am going to use red letters like their patches and maybe green for "Slimer."

Re: MJT Stratocaster SLIMER
If it was me, of go for a greenish glow-in-the-dark plastic.... Or maybe clear acrylic back-painted in GITD paint. (I may add LEDs for fun, too )

Headstock paint edge cleaned up. I also worked on the decal.

Re: MJT Stratocaster SLIMER
Pickguard came. Got the wiring done. I had read online that the coloring done to the aluminum makes it not conduct right without scuffing the areas to bare metal, so I went ahead and did that. Then I loaded the pickups, pots, and switch in. Seems to work right. The pots are grounded through the guard.

I found out the bridge I had won't work. The mounting holes don't match up. Also the knobs I have are too small for it as well. They must be import size.

Re: MJT Stratocaster SLIMER
Read you could drill the plastic knobs a bit bigger so they press on and it worked.

Re: MJT Stratocaster SLIMER
Decal applied. A little less clean than I was hoping for, but kinda fits the relic and slime look.

Re: MJT Stratocaster SLIMER
Ordered a tremolo. Aside from pickguard screws, that should be the last thing I need for this one to be finished up. (Still need the headstock clear to cure though.) Probably going to hit ACE Hardware and get some pickguard screws.

Re: MJT Stratocaster SLIMER
Got the tremolo so I was able to get everything else on. (I didn't want to mount the guard until the tremolo was on it to make sure it was centered right.) Looks good!

(Christopher, also)
I've been to one World's Fair, a picnic, and a rodeo, and that's the stupidest thing i ever heard come out a pair of headphones.
