According to the seller it's early 60's ES-125TDC guard. I love the wild zebra stripes going on with this.

That tort degrades a hell of a lot - whatever it is with Gibson tort it tends to gas off a lot more than Fender tort. Leave a guitar in a case for a few years untouched and you'll come back to find the neck pickup, frets and other nearby metal parts green with corrosion.
Those lines could be the result of that process... but if so it's very very early on. When it gets really bad the guards just crumble away. You see it an awful lot on ES355 guards - which is often why you'll see them replaced with black ES335 guards (which don't degrade).
