I really like Telecasters.... sitting down. The lack of contours makes them kind of uncomfortable for me to play standing up. (Mostly my forearm.) I was looking at some of the Schecter PT's that have contours but wasn't digging the color options I was seeing and the price for the contoured PT's is pretty up there. I was scouting Reverb and found a black Warmoth Telecaster body for a good price. Swamp ash, contoured arm, belly, and heel, black hardware and HH configuration which hit all the boxes on my check list. I made an offer for the body minus pickups and the body arrived today. I had a nice Telecaster neck that had one pin tuners. I lucked out and found old black one pin Gotoh tuners on eBay. I also had a set of chrome covered Pearly Gates pickups. Didn't take long at all to get it together. It has a clear guard on it currently. The previous owner had different patterns under it for options. I opted to order a black guard that isn't in yet. I am also missing the black string tree, but that should arrive this week. It sounds great! I don't notice any difference in sound from the cambering, but it is much more comfortable to hold and play. I am really happy with this build! Here are pictures.
(Sorry for the fingerprints.)

Oh yeah I like it!! It's hard to beat a Tele for me! Same with 1-ply guards! Very Gilmour-esque

That's super close to what I'd do if I was making a Tele of my own. Nicely done!

Awesome!
I got my string tree in the mail so now the headstock is all done. I just need the black pickguard to arrive from Warmoth and it will be all done.

Nice, I love a contoured Tele. I feel exactly the same way about playing one sitting down so did the same on the one I made. I did a stomach cut and arm contour but very very slightly rounded off the back of the body on the treble side to make it more comfortable on my leg when i play it sitting down.
