NGD Agile 3200 MCC Rootbeer Flame

Post by HNB » Sun Apr 08, 2018 10:33 am

I saw this on Reverb and took a swing at it. If you guys read when I ordered a satin black one a ways back, I liked it, but there were blemishes that bothered me so I returned it. I had my fingers crossed that this one would not have those issues and lucked out! I couldn't find anything wrong with it. Has a ton of great features too. Hardwear and tuners are excellent, push pull pots to split the Alnico 5 humbuckers, ebony fretboard, fully bound body and neck, mother of pearl inlays, five piece neck through body, 3/4" maple cap over mahogany.... (No weight relief... solid wood.)

The valute and contoured heel are excellent. The neck feels slightly flat and a little wide. (Kind of like one of my acoustic necks.) The rootbeer color is more red than I thought it would be from pictures online, but it isn't a bad thing. It does kind of look like rootbeer. (Like when you look at it with light behind the glass. LOL) Pickups sound good. At first I thought the neck pickup was a little wussy, but then I realized the volume for that pickup wasn't turned all the way up. Seems well shielded. No sharp edges and really low action. Came fully intonated. I think it came with 10's on it. I might change those out. Killer guitar.

Here are pics!

That’s a beauty. I love Agiles. I have a 3100 myself. It definitely scratches the LP itch.

I have a good top one with stock Seymour Duncan humbuckers and it rocks also. Great stuff for what you pay.

I really like the headstock on these, probably my fave on the les paul copies. This guitar is beautiful, great score!
