I think next up I'm definitely going to get new tuners for this guitar. As is, the guitar is actually really fun and nice sounding tuned to open C# standard. Very Piano-like with the low tuning and thick baritone strings. I think with new tuners the guitar will be a lot more serviceable and solid. As is, the tuners have a little too much play and don't offer up much stability. Eventually a new nut will.be in order, as I already said.

Now, if only I could find a way to tighten up the switches so that they don't switch so easily, then all will be good!

Anybody know if any good and inexpensive 3-on-a-plate tuners? If not, I'm just going to go the Gotoh route with 3x3 individual tuners.

Late to the thread- but nice score! For the tuners, Kluson makes a 3 on a plate set that bolts right on. Here's a link:https://reverb.com/item/1253911-kluson- ... w.ds&pla=1
They also make some with white/cream buttons if you want something a little closer to the original look.

I actually bought a 3+3 (not on a plate) tuners from Gotoh and put those on and they're great! Wonderful guitar with wonderful tuners. :)
