do any of you know about this guitar? I can't figure out the pickguard, it's either brass, or goldleaf. (?)

Either would have been possible, given the era...

Yeah, that latter one is mimed. Watch & listen at 7:51. There are many hints throughout that track. No meters on console and much more.

Love pretty much all of Johnny Marr's contributions in music. I have been through that smithsonguitar gear list a few times.

Also i have to say i hate those top of the pops 80s shows. Everyone was made to lip sync over their recordings. so lame.

I think it used to belong to Pete Townshend as well, but not sure about that.
