Re: If you could have only one Fender guitar
I was just curious. I expected a lot of people would say telecaster, even on the offset forum. There is a lot of talk about the telecaster on here and I wondered if people were still as loyal to the Jazzmaster/Jaguar as they were when they first joined the forum.

I'm going with my strat, I've had this guitar for awhile and it just feels like home when I pick it up.

David Gilmour’s black Strat.
Does anyone know his home address?

Nothing is anything until it is written. After that, it's everything.

Re: If you could have only one Fender guitar
I was gonna say Telecaster Deluxe (since that's the closest to my main guitar right now), but then I remembered how my right forearm looks and feels after a gig or a long rehearsal (bruised and bleeding), so I'm gonna go with a Jazzmaster.

I prefer offsets for my own music, but whenever I'm recording or auditioning for someone else, I always bring the Telecaster.

Telejazzocasterstanguar. Or a Telejazzocasterstanguar XII. The Squire version.

Re: If you could have only one Fender guitar
If I had to reduce down to one - My Jag-Stang with EMGs
Same if I had to fill the world with one Fender
Fender Style? Probably Jaguar
If it had to be off the rack, then Jaguar
If it had to be something completely different, then Jaguar
That's how I roll....

Stratocaster. Because I don't have my JM yet so I can't say if I'd prefer it to my Strat. My Tele would go if I had to get rid of a guitar.
I'm in Marching Band and play Guitar. That's about it, pretty boring, isn't it?

Re: If you could have only one Fender guitar
Other than the 2 fender did for NAMM years ago, I think I'm the only person to build one. This one got screwed up at the end but it's actually a really good shape to play. I need to do another.

Re: If you could have only one Fender guitar
I can't speak for everyone, but I think most people feel the most versatile "workhorse" Fender out there in the Tele. I don't actually own one, and in fact, I spent 6 year with my MIJ Jag being my "one and only" until I was in a position that I could buy more guitars. But a stock Tele can cover more ground stylistically than a stock JM or Jag, so it makes sense to me that it would be many peoples' "desert island" guitar.pocaloc wrote: ↑Thu Dec 07, 2017 7:53 pmI was just curious. Re: If you could have only one Fender guitar
For "lead" playing I like both for different reasons. I love the expressive possibilities of a JM, but nothing slices through a mix like a Tele.fuzzjunkie wrote: ↑Fri Dec 08, 2017 9:47 amI prefer offsets for my own music, but whenever I'm recording or auditioning for someone else, I always bring the Telecaster.
