SO, ive always avoided tele's just because everyone and their uncle has one...but i couldnt pass up the price on this one. Meeting the guy at 7pm to pick it up.
Guy says its "brandless" but...something says there's more to this than it seems. I mean, someone put locking tuners and the body looks legitimately worn...not "relic'd". the things that stick out are clearly the bite mark in the headstock, the football jack plate and the 6 saddle bridge.
Anyone know which company(even if its "generic china X") makes that neck? its pretty distinctive. I want to say ive seen similar at GFS.com, but cant find them now.

I’ve never seen the grab handle headstock.
But judging by the swirl marks on the neck plate, I’d venture it’s gotten some artificial love.
I’d rip it though.

Ok. So, got it home. It appears to be 100% chinese. The finish is factory but looks like someone did it in their garage in the dead of winter... with a paint roller.
that being said, it is at least solid wood, not plywood.
the previous owner "upgraded" the tuners with locking ones...from china...and they're lefty. So, free lefty locking tuners for whoever wants to pay shipping. Probably also throwing out pickups, haven't decided yet. Refin underway tomorrow.

Here it is all sanded. Not a wood expert..mm but guessing it's basswood since the grain is almost nonexistent.
