NAVD

New Accent vibrato day.

I must say that dealing with Winfield Vintage was quite the pleasurable experience. Dude was on top of it, not to mention that I ordered it Wednesday afternoon and received it Saturday morning (from California to Kentucky).

I'm really digging so far. Better than I expected, and definitely a triumph over the R tailpiece that is nothing shy of an asinine design - I feel with you Larry! The adapter bracket fits perfectly, there aren't any squeaks, holds tune as well as one would expect with a TOM style bridge - hopefully though I'll be upgrading to the Mastery and then there won't be any parts that fall of the guitar. Best part is that it's an added feature with no mods. Only downside that I can come up for now is that it's quite expensive.

Fender's offset system is better as far as feel (maybe looks, too?), but this is far superior to the Bigsby design and feels much better. And leaps better than the stiff strat-style for my playing. You can get real nice subtle nuances with it. I imagine this is quite similar to Gibson's Maestro / Lyre vibrola (whatever it's called).

Anyway, I'm quite pleased with it. Would definitely recommend as an alternate to the R tailpiece and would absolutely recommend Winfield.

Nice! I'm currently considering buying an old Rickenbacker with a factory-fitted Accent so I'm glad to hear it works well.

Reviews about them are super mixed, but I think if the rest of the guitar is properly set up, it shouldn't be an issue.

Ha! Yeah, minus the toasters and the price tag.

Cool! I’ve often wondered about this vibrato. That RIC looks pretty hot with that tailpiece. Enjoy!
