Squier Tom Delonge Stratocaster

Got this pretty cheap on Reverb. The stock pickup (Detonator) is pretty good. People say online it is sort of a super distortion with invader slugs on the top. To me it sounds more like an invader. (A little more bass than a super distortion.) Not exactly the same, but a cool pickup on its own. Neck is a nice shape and nice finish. The color is cool especially with the pearl guard. I kind of dig how his have an engraved plate instead of a signature on the headstock. Original owner upgraded the tuners I think. They work well.

Nice find! I had one these years back and loved everything except the pickup (I'm not much of a fan of high output ones). It's in great shape for being at least 13 or 14 years old!

I like all kinds of pickups. LOL Probably why I have a hard time just liking one guitar. I like all the different sounds for different things.

I had a black one for a while back in PR, it was a really good guitar. Also had the Epiphone Delonge - equally good guitar. It's amazing how versatile they are given how minimalist they are.

There's a white one for sale not far from me on CL... I've been tempted to make an offer.
