NGD - back on Les Paul and HBs!!! 70's italian made copy

I finally got time to write:

It's a 70's made Crucianelli Elli Custom Les Paul.
I wanted a Les Paul back in my life, since I sold my old 90's Gibson Les Paul Custom. I loved that one, she was my main guitar for 12 or 13 years...but I came to hate HBs, and I was afraid to gig with her, it was a damned expensive guitar...and it was before Jaguars and Mustangs...
But Les Pauls are my first love and what took me into playing this instrument. This began when I was 11 and when I was endlessly watching the opening of U2's Zoo Tv Tour, when Edge played his yellow Les Paul. I was fascinated.
I know, it's a bit shameful, but I was young !!!

Anyway,
I missed having a Les Paul afterall, and I needed to have at least one guitar with HBs.
So here she comes!!!

I'm really pleased, I've always wanted one of those italian lawsuit guitars.
That one seems to be quite rare, as I read somewhere Elli Custom is a badge from Crucianelli themselves, and as they seemed to have this model built for only one year, before Gibson gets upset.
Hmm.
Don't really know if this is true, don't really care either.

Things I know are that I freakin' love the headstcok and the checking all over the body (she spent the last 20 years in an attic ).
I didn't have the chance to hear the pickups, the guitar came without the input jack. But they seem to work when I test them.
And I'm not afraid with the idea of taking her out...I have to clean her a bit though, she is really dirty and rusty.

I don't really remember how my Gibson's neck felt, but this one is close...it's a bit too wide for my current tastes, but it's a guitar I'll play rarely, just when I need it, so I can handle this.
Anyway, I'm really happy.
I'd like to put a B7 on that guitar, like the one Larry was selling, because I love the look (especially on LPs) and the feel of Bigsbys, but it would cost twice what I paid for...maybe in the future, when I'll find myself playing that one exclusively!!! But I doubt this will be the case.
It's a nice tool to have around though...

They are located on the mounting pickup rings by the way...
I'd like to not damage my pickups

I hate Les Paul’s, but that one looks pretty bad ass! Looks of a primitive relic that’s seen a lot history, like a battered veteran.

Do you know any of the background of the guitar? Great pics btw.

You could try soaking the screws with penetrating fluid like PB Blaster with the straw. It may even need a few days for it to fully penetrate, with periodic (gentle) spraying and tapping on the screw gently to help the fluid penetrate. It’s the standard in auto & cycling mechanics. I won’t even mention torches. The biggest fear would be stripping the heads of the screws. Sometimes it helps to tighten a screw in order to remove it. Good luck!
