If any bits of wood have chipped off but you still have them, I'd glue them back on before sanding, rather than using filler- it'll work out better as the new finish ages imo
i was talking about the realy old chip offs, where on the first page even the paint was chipped away. :(

I hear Fender make pretty authentic ones.
Seriously - if you're putting it back to original configuration, there is zero need for anything other than the original 3-saddle bridge, they are perfect as is and anything else is blues-lawyer wank.

Finally got sanding finished! (even the nick on the last pic feels smooooooth!)
Basically the steps i did where :
-Remove existing finish, -sand with 80 till feels smooth, -add wood filler on the whole surface + sanding with 120 (twice) -sand with 240.

Surface feels good and i think that ill get rid of small things with adding primer (and it will look awesome!)
Do i need Grainfiller or does primer work
I want to use white primer and black finish + nitro clear.

And im not entirely sure, but it seems that black was the original finish and the old finish was original (but whack)!

Yeah that finish did look original...not worth saving when there's a kahler shaped hole in it though!

You sure about black with a white undercoat? Your guitar of course, but nitro chips very very easily, so you'll be seeing the white soon enough, and not in a 'looks like an og guitar with natural wear' kinda way either.

Also, there is a vast range of colours in this world, including out-there blue, barbie pink, mexican beetle orange, cheese green, etc etc. ;)

So glad you got this, the progress looks amazing! How is the neck on it? That was the selling point for me on my old kahler-fied tele.

That Neck is realy cool, feels like modern c and on the back it gets a bit more full. The finish on the neck is bad, too! Like 1mm thick and sticky clear coat. On one way i think it would be impressive to get it off the playing area or on the whole back and on the other way it feels like nothing that i have to.. 1MM CLEAR COAT? And the wear on it is beautiful and has a lot of mojo!

On colors:
there are so many cool ones, im not jet decided, but i love black and feeling with primer under it would be very sleek!
Oh boy or Sherwood Green, LPB or BMM?

and does this Bridge look legit?
Spotted it on Ebay for starting bid for 85€ or something like that,
seems reasonable for the right piece.

You could probably give the back of that neck a good rub down with a Staybrite pad & it'd feel much smoother & faster. It'll look less shiny too.
You think you can't, you wish you could, I know you can, I wish you would. Slip inside this house as you pass by.

If it were me I'd just grab whatever reissue bridge says fender on it...I feel like these aren't loads of money new and look exactly the same. And as for the neck...I'd very much draw the line at stripping it. Not for any collectability reasons, just that removing that finish with 80 grit like you did on the body would ruin it, and using a heat gun would be difficult without ruining it, I'd just leave it alone

if it were me, I'd look for an old bridge.
I've owned a couple 70's era bridges, and the plates are heavier. Maybe slightly thicker, with smoother corners. I prefer them much.
(Christopher, also)
I've been to one World's Fair, a picnic, and a rodeo, and that's the stupidest thing i ever heard come out a pair of headphones.
