Can anybody tell me how to install the bridge correctly?
I mean how to find the centerline without String thru holes?
Intonation should be right because of the bridge PU Routing...

With the neck mounted, you can place a long ruler on the side of the neck and down the body. Make sure it follows the fretboard edge. Grab a pencil and draw a line on the body. Then do the same thing on the other side of the neck. Then you find the middle of those two lines on a couple of places, and you can then establish a center line.

This tele body plan have the scale length marked. Print the bridge part, measure out the scale length on the body, and use some double stick tape to place the printed paper on the centerline with the scale where it is supposed to be.
Make sure the holes match your bridge before you drill ;)

Sorry if I missed it; have you got rid of the Kahler? No clue on shipping to the US but...

Body arrived safely in the UK last week...

First coat of sealer has just been shot, spent quite a while grain filling and sanding yesterday, going back over the edges a second time as there were a lot of open grain pores.

Hopefully another coat of sealer (or two or three maybe as I'm paranoid about the patch area showing) and some primer tomorrow and we might even see some black on there by Saturday!

It's gonna be tough to avoid the filled in bit showing through eventually, are you using nitro?

Yeah it's going to be all nitro. After a few grain fillings and sanding back it felt almost entirely smooth to the touch over the patched area, like a totally flat surface. But I know the tiniest imperfections always have a nasty habit of showing up under the final coats... I'm going to do more sealer and primer coats than normal. I think after a few coats of primer lightly sanded back before colour we should have a relatively clear idea of how it will turn out. On the whole I'm positive! :)

It's definitely a solid repair, but i might have tried to grain/color match that plug.
hopefully that part of the front won't see much wear.
(Christopher, also)
I've been to one World's Fair, a picnic, and a rodeo, and that's the stupidest thing i ever heard come out a pair of headphones.

Kind of a blonde thing! It's taken me a while to get the viscosity of the primer and the settings on my primer gun right - it behaves totally different to my main gun - but there at last - hopefully some real progress again!
