NBD, and a challenge to those pickup-winders out there!

For guitars of the straight waisted variety (or reverse offset).

NBD, and a challenge to those pickup-winders out there!

I am very excited about Supro/Airline gear.
last week, I bought my first Supro bass. It's a 1960 pocket bass. It was in my budget due to an ancient refin and a missing "piezo" bridge.

here it is:

here's a little history lesson:

The bridge meant to reside on this bass is actually a giant rosewood slab, with two small coils hidden in it, a pair of adjuster wheels/posts, and a rosewood saddle that has a pair of slugs sticking out of the bottom. When the bridge is all together, the slugs drop through the bobbins, and work as a super-microphonic, acoustic-sounding bridge pup.
I have a bridge from a National Map guitar here that has given me a chance to see the construction up close. I'll include a bunch of photos to clarify.
The two coils are wired in series, dropped into the bridge bass, and buried in beeswax.
I should be able to replicate this set up, if I can find someone interested in winding a pair of bobbins to match those in the National.
If you think you'd be able to pull this off, shoot me a note. I can cover the cost, of course. I'll provide all the dimensions, and give you a reading on the pickup i have here. It should be close enough to do what it's supposed to do.

Here are a few photos of the National Map bridge:

And, if you're not tired of reading, an article i found on a repair done to one of these bridges. There are a bunch of good dissection photos.

Thanks, in advance.
(Christopher, also)
I've been to one World's Fair, a picnic, and a rodeo, and that's the stupidest thing i ever heard come out a pair of headphones.
