They are interesting, but I kind of want Guild to quit with the imports and bring back some USA Guild electrics. I feel like they are in danger of watering down the name by being another rebranding importer. They may be in a tough spot though, since many vintage USA made Guilds don't fetch a ton of money themselves. For instance, I bought a USA Starfire IV for about a $100 more than their new Korean Starfire IV. Not sure what they can do, but I would like to see the Guild name survive and sadly it may be that imports are the only option.

These look fucking awesome. Too bad they're not made in USA, but what can you do?

Something that is interesting (for you history and/or trivia buffs). If you've ever seen the original incarnation of the Bigsby Merle travis guitar, that headstock (as seen on the guild) is pretty much the exact headstock as originally used by bigsby. Obviously shortly thereafter Bigsby modified the headstock by moving the "knob" to the treble side.

Since Guild has no connection to Bigsby (and it's highly unlikely anyone at Guild would have ever seen the Travis guitar in its original incarnation) it's really fascinating that they would have come up with that headstock design.

Digging the white/tort, but of course that's the one without the trem.

Love the Turquoise one. These guitars would look cooler if the backs of them were rounded.

But will they have the built in guitar stand?
And you find out life isn't like that
It's so hard to understand
Why the world is your oyster but your future's a clam
