Bonamassa Epiphone Firebird I

Post by bdf83 » Sun Aug 07, 2016 7:18 am

Saw these on social media and am really liking the idea of them for some reason, especially the gold.

The Firebird thread on here and this is doing nothing for my bank balance...

Nice guitars, it looks like they have the Steinberg tuners on there, and probably the same crappy ceramic pickups, but Joe Bonamassa's genre is what those pickups are specific for.

But the body? Is it actually a nine-ply neck through?

Wow, banjo tuners. That's a pretty cool guitar, then.

I wish it had a trem

What's it like to add a trem on a wraparound bridge guitar?

I'm intrigued. Always wanted a FB I but they're pretty limited-use for me and the prices are outrageous.

Really? They are as cheap as they've ever been... a brand new, Gibson, Firebird V is $1050.

According to Bonamassa's instagram they'll be the standard Epi prices so guess £300-400 depending on how limited they are.

Really feeling the gold one

gosh i've been SO GASing for a Firebird... even considered the Washburn cheapo...
but one pickup AND no vibrato is a no go for me. but pretty damn cool anyways...
i love delay SO much ...that i procrastinate all the time.
