Gretsch, imo makes some of the classiest looking electrics at this time. This one is certainly no exception. Great looking guitar. I have always wanted to try those pickups. Congratulations!!

"Tuxie" is a beauty, congrats! I made a couple of small changes to mine - a Melita bridge and wide Bigsby handle.

I love the way gretsch's play, even the cheapie ones are nice. I am sure this one is rad. If i ever branch out into other guitars again they are on my shortlist.
I used to be cool, now I just complain about prices.

It play like buttah!

I ran it thought my Caroline "Expensive Amplifier" OD/Distortion pedal last night and it was freaking awesome!!!

I gotta get my recording rigs set up again and do a proper, non-iPhone demo.

That’s freaking awesome. Honestly Gretschs are so great. All gretschs. Yours looks a 10/ 10.

I’m totally happy owning only fenders and Gretsch guitars. Well plus my acoustic which is an eko.

Sometimes I think I want a les Paul or an sg or a 335 but then I think “what’s the point? I already own 2 Gretschs”

I'm also in the Fender and Gretsch camp, but after owning a bunch of them, I can definitively say that Gibsons can be as different from Gretsches and Gretsches can be from Fenders.

Having said that, even among the Gibsons I own and love, it's sometimes difficult to resist the thought that they'd all sound better with Filtertrons. Because they basically would :D

But at that point, it wouldn't make sense to own them, because I'd just be trying to make them into something I already have. I think I spent so many formative years with just one guitar, and then with just two, that I never shook the idea that each pickup position has to be my ideal sound on each guitar. The nice thing about having multiple guitars is that I can let them each be unique, so I have an actual reason to reach for one over the others in any given situation.

I think that shift in perspective made me much more appreciative of Gibsons. That, and the discovery of Firebird pickups, which I vastly prefer to PAFs.

I played a variant of this today in a shop and was pretty blown away by it. It had a standard TOM. The Bigsby felt great, and I LOVED the pickups.

If not for it being a little narrower at the nut than I like I’d probably be scheming to unload some stuff right now.

The pickups are just amazing. I love 'em.
